Ronald H. Swolley, 82, of Morton, passed away Monday, November 17, 2025, at his home.
He was born on July 18, 1943, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Frank and Margaret (Harrison) Swolley. Ronald married Cecelia Wayne on June 22, 1963, in Decatur, Illinois.
Surviving are his wife, Cecelia Swolley of Morton; children, Barbara (Ross) Masonholder of Peoria, Mark Swolley of Morton, Chris Swolley of East Peoria, Elizabeth (Tim) Lee of Dallas, Georgia, Dawn (Brian) Doyle of Fishers, Indiana, Eric Swolley of East Peoria and Jeff Swolley of Morton; and grandchildren, Tabitha (Nathan), Dylan, Kiara, Mason, Cavan, Spencer, Fiona, Lexi and Kenneth; and great-grandchildren, Daniel and Arya.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Dirk Tyson Masonholder; his parents and his brother, Richard Swolley.
Ronald served in various roles in the information technology department for Caterpillar.
He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Morton and 4th Degree Knights of Columbus.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Morton, with Fr. Nick Conner officiating. Visitation will be held from 9 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday, prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Morton.
Memorials may be made to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church or St Jude Runner's Association.
