Bucky, age 86, went to his Heavenly home on Thursday, September 19, 2024. He was a long-time resident of Ponchatoula, LA. Bucky proudly served his country in the United States Marines. He was an active member of Westside Baptist Church. Bucky was a hard worker and even when he was home, he was either fixing something or keeping his yard pristine. Bucky enjoyed old westerns, especially John Wayne. He loved playing games with his family and would win by any means necessary. Bucky adored his family, especially the ones that called him Paw Paw. He was a strong and stern man, but with a huge heart. Bucky would do anything he could to help someone and never asked for anything in return. He left his family with countless wonderful memories and will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Louise Threeton; son, Ronnie Threeton (Lyn); daughter, Janet Dawson (Rodney); sister, Bertha Dominguez; grandchildren, Angela Gasper (Brandon), Breanna Picou (Kyle), Holly Threeton (Olivia), Kelee Cruz (Patrick), Dani Dawson (Maddie); great-grandchildren, Lucas Gasper, Wyatt Picou, Paxton Picou, Emerson Cruz, Elra Dawson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bucky was preceded in death by his parents, John and Katie Threeton; brothers, Wilson Threeton and Raymond Threeton; and sisters, Winnie Kemp and Nadine Bankston.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Westside Baptist Church in Ponchatoula, LA on Thursday, September 26, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Ponchatoula Cemetery.
