Ronald Tufano, 66 of East Haven passed away October 28, 2024 at CT Hospice surrounded by his family. He was born March 27, 1958 in New Haven to Thomas and Joan (Blake) Tufano. Ronald is survived by his loving wife of over 40 years, Raffella (Zito) Tufano the three devoted children; Ronald Tufano Jr. (Mary Preble) of East Haven, Brittney Tufano of East Haven and Nick Tufano (Carly Warrick) of East Haven along with nine grandchildren; Alana Epps, Alexis Epps, Amelia Tufano, Autumn Tufano, Tatiana Corchado, Luis Lopez, Teagan Tufano, Meadow Tufano and Nova Tufano. Ronald is also two brothers, Stanley Tufano and Michael Tufano both of Branford and a sister, Tina Tufano of Clinton along with numerous nieces/nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and infant daughter, Candace Tufano.
Ronald was a passionate car enthusiast, often found at local car shows, where he would share his love for classic and vintage vehicles with fellow aficionados. His infectious enthusiasm for cars inspired countless conversations and friendships, as he enjoyed the camaraderie that came with his shared passion.
In addition to his love for automobiles, Ronald had a unique hobby of listening to police scanners, keeping him connected to the vibrant happenings of his community. His curiosity and attentive nature made him a great source of local knowledge for friends and family alike.
Above all, Ronald cherished the time spent with his grandchildren. Whether it was sharing stories, teaching them about his favorite cars, or simply playing games, his grandkids were the light of his life. He made it a point to visit his children's homes, surprising them with random visits that brightened their days and sparked long conversations, always reminding them of the importance of family bonds. Ronald dedicated his life to his family, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Family and friends are invited to meet and attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 11 AM in St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at the Church of St. Vincent de Paul, 80 Taylor Ave., East Haven with Committal to follow at East Lawn Cemetery. Please go directly to the church on Saturday. All services are under the care of the Clancy-Palumbo Funeral Home, 43 Kirkham Ave., East Haven.
