Ronald Wayne Gott
79, of Riley Township, passed away Friday, November 26, 2021, at Select Specialty Hospital, Mount Clemens.
He was born May 22, 1942, in Detroit, the son of the late Walter and Victoria (Marek) Gott.
His marriage to Paulette Suchy was June 24, 1978, in Memphis.
Ronald was a motion picture film lab manager for 50 years. He enjoyed his street rods, specifically his 1934 Chevy 4-door Sedan and 1937 Ford 2-door Sedan. He was the past president of MMAC and the Michigan Chapter Director of the Michigan Hot Rod Association. Ron loved attending and helping in the Car Club at the annual Autorama and was a founding member of the Country Cruisers of Southern Thumb. Ron loved golfing, golf cart and gator rides. He would spend many of his weekends at the Cabin in Glennie, MI with his family enjoying boat rides and taking out the canoes. It was a tradition getting together during hunting season up at the cabin with the guys. Ron loved family more than anything and having family together for gatherings. In the Winter months, Ron and Paulette spent time at their home in Venice, FL. Ron was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Emmett.
Surviving in addition to his wife Paulette of 43 years, are three daughters and sons-in-law, Karen (Del) Doyle of Applegate, Sharon (Ron) Kaufman of Attica, and Catherine (Paul) Kaczmarek; a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald (Maryann) Gott of Riley Twp.; grandchildren, Jeff, Lauren, Nick, Jacob, Abigail, Jenna, Megan, Dustin, Tiffany, and Breana; two brothers, Robert (Ruth) and Tom (Winne) Gott; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
