Commander Ronald G. Wilkins, born December 5, 1941, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2025, at the age of 83. A devoted husband, father, serviceman, and man of faith, Ron lived a life marked by selfless service, unwavering dedication, and profound love for his family and community.

Ron's journey began when he enlisted in the Navy straight out of high school, embarking on a path of service that would define much of his life. He pursued higher education at the University of Oklahoma, where he earned his degree before being commissioned as a naval officer. Ron served courageously through several tours in Vietnam, demonstrating resilience and commitment to his country.

Upon returning home, Ron married his beloved wife, Camilla, beginning a partnership filled with love and shared purpose. He felt a calling to serve in a new way and resigned his commission to become a missionary. To better serve the Lord, he attended Dallas Theological Seminary, where he deepened his faith and welcomed his two children, Timothy and Christina, into the world.

Ron's devotion to service led him back to the Navy, this time as a chaplain, where he ministered to countless souls over the course of his remarkable 38-year career. After retiring, Ron returned to Oklahoma to care for his mother, exemplifying his lifelong commitment to family. Even in his final days, Ron's heart remained focused on others, sacrificially giving of himself to those around him.

Ron Wilkins leaves behind a legacy of faith, service, and love. He is survived by his children, Timothy and Christina; his brothers Don, Joe, and Robert; his sister Marylin; cousins and grandchildren; and a community forever touched by his compassion. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
