Ronald "Ronny" Williams was born January 19, 1938 in Bastrop, LA and passed away peacefully on November 20, 2024 at his home in West Monroe, LA.
Ronny graduated from Bastrop High School and joined the US Army. Just before leaving for basic training he met a woman who would become the love of his life, Carolyn Rogers. After the Army, Ronny graduated from Northeast Louisiana University with a Bachelor's degree in Management. They ultimately moved to Land O' Lakes, FL where Ronny raised his family and flourished. He loved the lakes, beaches, fishing and exploring. He was never one to pass a dirt road without saying "wonder where that road goes." Ronny always thought of Florida as home.
Over time Ronny and Carolyn moved back to Bastrop as their parents grew older. Ronny grew a large garden and lived the quiet country life. After Carolyn suffered a devastating stroke, Ronny was her dedicated caregiver for the next 23 years. It was a selfless act of pure devotion and commitment.
Ronny was blessed with a brilliant mind, the ability to create amazing pies, a smooth singing voice, a love of nature and an adventurous spirit.
Ronny was preceded in death by his beloved wife Carolyn, his parents Keith and Luerine Williams, sister in law Judy Williams, sister in law Ellen Vines
He will be deeply missed by his two daughters, Laurie Williams and husband Britt Risinger; Amy Clark and husband Mike; grandchildren Brittney Dendorfor and husband Matt, Abby Clark; Cameron Clark and wife Katelyn; great grandchildren Stella Dendorfor and Greyson Clark; Siblings Jim Williams and wife Carolyn, Larry Williams; Sister in law Nancy Rogers; brother in law Thomas Rogers and wife Marty; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He will also be missed by his birds, the attack rabbit and a handsome fox, all residents of his backyard.
In keeping with Ronny's dislike for established protocol, there will be no funeral services. At his request there will be a "feast" in the coming months.
Donations in memory of Ronald Williams may be directed to Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Mr Ron was always so nice and made a point to speak to me when out checking his mail. I would often watch him back his van up in his garage. He will be missed as a neighbor. Condolences to his family.
