Funeral services for Ronald Yazell, 60, of Gilmer, Texas, will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, July 26, 2024, in the Chapel of McWhorter Funeral Home with Marty Hudson officiating. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at 10:00 am prior to the service.
Ron was born on April 17, 1964, in Tyler, Texas, to Tex Richard Yazell and Evelyn Marie Anderson Yazell, and passed from this life on July 20, 2024, surrounded by his family.
Ron was the service manager for Yazell Chevrolet for over 30 years. He enjoyed mowing, race cars, and especially 69 Camaros. Ron enjoyed visiting with people and loved being with his family.
Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Marie Yazell; children, Joshua Yazell, Kayla Hefner (Dawson), Breaze Yazell (Carl McCoy), Haley Yazell, and Robert Pace; brothers, Richard Yazell (Diane), and Jay Yazell (Patty); sisters, Jill Yazell Hudson (Marty), and Jan Yazell Wilkerson; grandchildren, Emma Hefner, Abigail Hefner, and Dasyn Ramey; soon to be grandson, Aidyn McCoy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father, Tex Yazell; grandparents, Joe C. and Jewel Anderson, Earl Yazell, and Dorothy Rambo.
Pallbearers will be Brannon Yazell, Wes Yazell, Perry Yazell, Tex Yazell, Logan Wilkerson, and Carl McCoy.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bo Irons, Cecil Davis, Billy "Rabbit" Davis, Roger Silver, Don Davidson, Butch Alexander, David Ross, Les Morris, Lanny Milton, and Walter Anderson.
