Ronda J. Egert, 57, of Massillon, passed away peacefully at home at the side of her devoted husband, John Egert, on November 15, 2024 after battling brain cancer for 13 months.
She was born on April 16, 1967 in Cincinnati, OH. to Marvin and Delores (Melvin) Wilson.
Growing up as the youngest of four siblings in Zanesville, OH. on 15 acres, she worked hard, played hard, and enjoyed country living.
While an outstanding member of the Philo High School basketball team (Class of 1985), she achieved the record of 1,059 points along with an 81% Free Throw average during her career. Ronda is a graduate of Capital University.
In her role as Vice President of Mortgage Lending at First Commonwealth Bank, she assisted hundreds of area residents in achieving the dream of home ownership. She was a member of the Building Industry of Stark County and Belden Village Kiwanis Club.
Passionate about life, Ronda cherished her loving relationship with John, traveling to new places, boating with family, participating in car shows, and giving back to the community.
Fun-loving and spirited, Grandma Ronda made every day special with her six grandchildren. Her magnetic personality, enthusiasm, and a zest for living inspired everyone around her.
Armed with a strong faith, a giving and hopeful heart, Ronda charged through life undaunted by any challenge.
Ronda is survived by her loving Husband, John; Son, Rhet (Selina) Fraunfelter; Step-Sons, Christopher (Gina) Egert and Stephen (Heather) Egert; and Step-Daughter, Elizabeth (Egert) Willemin. She is also survived by her Father, Marvin Wilson; Sisters, Robin Moore and Renee Durant; Brother, Rane Wilson; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her Mother, Delores Wilson.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday November 20, 2024 from 6pm-8pm at Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home, 1100 Wales Rd. NE. Massillon, OH 44646.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at 10:30 am at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home, with Pastor Matt Coutcher of Woodlawn Church officiating.
