"Richard F. Egert Jr., of Lumberton, NJ left us on October 16, 2024, at the age of 63. He was the beloved husband of Joyce Egert (nee Ott) for almost 30 years, and a loving stepfather to Alan James and his new daughter-in-law Alyssa (nee Mitchell), and father to Ashley Egert, and Richard F. Egert III (and his pet children Cody and Dakota). He was the devoted son of Richard F. Egert Sr. and the late Mary Ann (nee Taylor). He was the dear brother of Debbie Robinson (Hank), Bob Egert (Jane), and Denise Barnett (Lee).
Rich maintained many friendships over the years and brought a vibrancy to everything he did. Anyone who knew him, knew that he could command a room and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Whether he was riding motorcycles, collecting cars, flying drones or doing any one of his many hobbies, Rich did everything with a passion as big as his heart. A good man and a supportive friend to have in your corner, Rich was bigger than life itself and there will never be enough words to capture the space he left behind in all the lives he touched all over the world while he was here.
Loved ones will gather Thursday, October 24, 2024 from 10:00am to 11:45am at the Schetter Funeral Home, 304 W. Marlton Pike, Cherry Hill, NJ. Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 noon. Please feel free to send flowers or place donations to the American Heart Association in honor of Rich."

Remembering Rich on this day, celebrating his legacy and sense of humor. I didnt have the opportunity to work close to him but we shared some conversations here and there in the office. Sending my love to his family.

I was saddened to hear the news of Rich's passing. I had the pleasure to work with Rich in our latter years @ OKI. We had many great conversations during our interactions. Rich's presence was felt as soon as he entered the room. If he cared about you, there was no doubt he'd be there in a nano-second if you needed help. He will be missed! My condolences to the Egert family and may Rich rest in peace. A good guy gone too soon!

To Rich's family, I am very sorry for your loss. I pray for God's peace in your hearts. I met Rich while in OKI, I always loved his passion on doing things. Although he could be very loud and sometimes disruptive, I admired his active vision as a Leader. He could stop people in their tracks but, as his memoir says, he was a very tender man ready to help people around. I feel privileged to have met him. RiP Rich.
