Ronnie Lamar Canady, 67, of Omega, died at his residence on Monday, June 10, 2024.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, June 13, 2024, in the Chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Pastor Todd Garner and Reverend Danny Smith officiating. The burial will take place at Omega City Cemetery. Dale Canady, John Tucker, Matthew Tucker, Dustin Tucker, Michael Canady, Josh Lupo, and Patrick Canady will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.
Born on August 20, 1956, in Tift Co., Georgia, he was the son of Nettie “Tiny” Katherine Fletcher Canady and the late Roy Lamar Canady. Ronnie was a devoted grandfather, lovingly known as "Grandpa," and had a special bond with his daughter and granddaughters. Throughout his life, Mr. Canady was passionate about fishing and spending time with his family, creating lasting memories filled with love and laughter. His heart belonged to Teresa Norman Canady, the love of his life. He adored his three granddaughters. He retired from Destiny Homes and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Canady.
Mr. Canady is survived by his loving wife, Teresa Norman Canady of Omega; daughter, Jessica Canady Harrison of Omega; granddaughters, Ella Harrison, Nora Harrison, and Tessa Harrison; mother, Nettie “Tiny” Katherine Fletcher Canady; brother, Dale Canady and wife Judy of Conyers; and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
