Ronnie Clyde Dison, age 71, grew up in Haynesville, LA. He was happily married to Jackie Barmore Dison for 52 years. Ronnie and Jackie settled in Mooringsport, LA. He was a devoted husband, father, Pappaw and friend to many.
Ronnie loved being home on his front porch throwing a ball with his best friend, Boo-Boo the dog. He loved crappie fishing on Caddo Lake. He was a very simple man of few words but to know him was to love him and be loved by him.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Earlene Dison, brothers, Stanley and Jimmy Dison; niece, doris Michelle and best buddy, John Hicks.
Those left to cherish his memory is his wife, Jackie Dison of Mooringsport; daughter, Stephanie and husband, Jeff Todd of Longview, TX: daughter, Carrie and husband, James Davis of Doddridge, AR; daughter, Kristi Dison of Haynesville, LA; son, Dewayne and wife, Crystal Dison of Shreveport, LA; adopted brother, Henry Bowman. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, his beloved dog and best friend, Boo Boo and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Honoring Ronnie as pallbearers will be Jeffrey Todd, Dylan Dison, Zane Craig, Caleb Davis, Jamin Davis, William Dison, Dayton Dison and Dennis Dison. Honorary pallbearer will be Brian Walker.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 Thursday, April 25, 2024 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 705 S. Spruce Street, Vivian, LA. Interment will follow at Jolley Chapel Cemetery in Wesson, AR. There will be a time of visitation from 12:30 until service time at the funeral home.
The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to Randy Barmore, Henry Bowman and to family and friends that have reached out with their support.
