Ronnie Leon DuBose, of Fort Payne, Alabama, passed away Monday, June 16, 2025, at the age of 78. Mr. DuBose was a master carpenter whose hands shaped more than wood—they built a life full of purpose and passion. He loved working in his garden, tending to his tractors, and spending time outdoors. He cherished the bond he shared with his brothers and found joy in working on cars in his free time. Mr. DuBose retired after more than 30 years of dedicated service at Pactiv in Covington. He will be remembered for his skill, his quiet strength, and the love he showed to family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Vickie DuBose; and parents, Charlie and Omea DuBose.
Survivors include his son, Barry DuBose (Susan), Daughters, Robin DuBose, Michelle Cartledge (Kenny); 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; siblings, Donnie DuBose, Lonnie DuBose (Shelia), Deborah Nelson, Grady DuBose (Deneen); as well as several nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
A Celebration of Life for Mr. DuBose will be held Monday, June 30, 2025, 2:00 P.M., at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Road, in Covington, with interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the funeral home on Sunday, June 29, 2025 from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
