RONNIE STEPHENS

Westminster, SC – Ronnie Lee Stephens, age 67, beloved father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 18, 2025, at Seneca Health and Rehabilitation, surrounded by love.

Born on January 3, 1958, in Oconee County, Ronnie was the son of the late Marvin Lee and Betty Watson Stephens. A man of quiet strength and deep loyalty, Ronnie built his life on hard work, love for family, and a passion for the simple joys of the outdoors. Ronnie was a former Seneca Police Officer, and later retired from a dedicated career as a utility locator with UtiliQuest, where he was known for his reliability and strong work ethic. Beyond his career, Ronnie found true happiness in God's creation. Whether on the water with a fishing pole in hand or in the woods during hunting season, he lived with a deep appreciation for the peace and beauty of nature. Ronnie was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church #2.

He is survived by his daughter, Amanda Bradley (Tim Merrell); siblings, Danny Stephens (Theresa), Greg Stephens, and Carol Jefferson (Johnny); grandchildren, Alleigha Yelton (Josh), Mace Bradley; great-granddaughter, Evangeline Yelton; and niece and nephews, Jennifer Stephens and Justin Holbert.

In addition to his parents, Ronnie was preceded in death by loved ones who have now welcomed him home, his parents, and a brother, Ricky Stephens.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:30 PM on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at Sandifer Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Heritage Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at Sandifer Funeral Home.

The family will be at their respective homes. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Ronnie's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Condolences may be expressed by visiting www.sandiferfuneralhome.com.
