Ronnie E. Wright, a cherished member of the Ashton, WV community, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2025, at the age of 89. Born on July 16, 1936, in Pliny, WV, Ronnie lived a life marked by devotion to his family, faith, and the great outdoors.

Ronnie was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Anderson and Elsie (Hawthorne) Wright; his wife of 65 years, Beaulah E. (Mayes) Wright; his brothers Dorcie, Denver, Wayne, Roger Dale, and Dallas Wright; and his sisters Margie Bond, Dorothy Mayse, and Janet Wright.

He is survived by his loving children, Joyce Carletta Blake and Debbie Ann Morrison; his grandchildren, Lisa Dawn Whitt, Ronnie Ray Morrison, Carletta Kay Williams, and Steven Matthew (Dawn) Morrison; and his great-grandchildren, Mason (Vy) Allen, Aubrey, and Alexander Williams. He also leaves behind his sister, Mary Dayonez McGowan, as well as many nieces and nephews, all of whom he held dear. Ronnie's extended family included his brothers and sisters in Christ, with whom he shared a deep spiritual bond.

A man of simple pleasures, Ronnie found joy in deer and turkey hunting, woodworking, and spending time outdoors with family and friends. His love for nature and craftsmanship was evident in everything he did. As a devoted member and minister of the Christian Valley Church of Christ, Ronnie's faith was the cornerstone of his life, guiding him in all his endeavors.

Ronnie will be remembered for his unwavering faith, love for his family, and passion for the outdoors. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the viewing hours from 12:00 pm to 2 p.m. on August 19, 2025, with a service to follow at 2 P.M. at Deal Funeral Home. Burial will take place immediately after at Crist Family Cemetery in Ashton, WV. Brother Mike Fyffe will be officiating. Deal Funeral home is honored to serve the Wright Family.
