Rory George Obituary
Rory was united in marriage to Lisa Davis George, with whom he shared 45 years of marriage. She survives him. Two daughters also survive him; Jennifer George Walls of London, Kentucky, married to Larry Walls, and Stephanie Ashford of Liberty, Tennessee, married to Cory Ashford. He leaves behind four beloved granddaughters. Sierra Leigh Ashford of Liberty, Tennessee; Jenna Lawren M'Lynn Walls of London, Kentucky; Madison Raye Ashford of Liberty, Tennessee; and Baylee Grace Ashford of Liberty, Tennessee. Alongside them, he leaves behind a host of extended family and friends whose hearts are heavy with his passing.
Rory was an avid outdoorsman, even more so during his Harley and horse riding days. He loved anything and everything that allowed him to be outside- hunting, fishing, four-wheeler riding, kayaking, horseback riding, and even camping because he "slept better outside." Above all else, Rory took great pride in anything that his granddaughters accomplished and was their biggest fan. He made sure everyone knew how proud he was of them. He was a hardworking and determined man, spending his life dedicated to lineman work. While he could be stubborn, he had a great heart and a good sense of humor.
Rory departed this life on Thursday, December 18, 2025 being 69 years old surrounded by his beloved pets; Davey, Willie, Waylon, Tigger and his family.
The funeral service for Rory Lee George will be conducted at 11 am Tuesday in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Cottongim Cemetery in London.
The family will receive friends beginning at 6 pm Monday at Bowling Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Larry Walls, Cory Ashford, Trevor George, Jared George, Barry Howard and William Ray Evans.
