Survived by her children, Claudia Castaneda, Sinia (Fredy) Rodriguez, Felix (Minerva) Estrada, and Edgar (Vesna Nedic) Estrada; grandchildren, Mariella Rodriguez Fredy Joshua Rodriguez, Julian Rodriguez, Diego Castaneda, Yulissa Castaneda, Leonardo Castaneda, Jon Carlo Castaneda, Maya Estrada, Alexsandra Estrada, Emma Estrada, and Felix Estrada; great grandson, Ethan James Solorio; siblings, Jesus (Ilde) Celaya Jr., and Sonia Hernandez. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends also survive.
Preceded in death by her parents, Jesus (Maclovia) Celaya Sr., siblings, Maria Elena Lara, Guadalupe Moreno, Elizabeth Moreno, Jose Celaya, Estella Celaya, and Paco Celaya.
Rosa was a very kindhearted person. She loved her family very dearly and would do anything and everything they needed. She was our mom and the best mom anyone could ask for. Rosa will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Visitation for Rosa will be held on Sunday, December 29, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Farkas Funeral Home, 3201 W. Jefferson St., Joliet, IL. Funeral Services will be held Monday, December 30, 2024, at 10:15 a.m. from the funeral home to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, 407 East Irving Street, Joliet, IL, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Per Rosa's wishes cremation rites will be accorded follow services.
