Rosa L. Reams was born on December 17, 1957. She was the daughter of the late Elena and Wilbur McClam in Lake City, South Carolina.
Rosa, better known as "SQUEAKY" was the fourth born of nine siblings. She was educated in Lake City, S.C. prior to relocating to Paterson, NJ in 1966. She would later attend Paterson Eastside High School. It was there she met and eventually united in holy matrimony to the love of her life Henry Reams. Together, they were blessed with two children, Quashetta and Dontel.
In Rosa's younger years, she would frequently enjoy traveling back south to her hometown. Squeaky was known for her kind heart, never hesitating to share whatever she had. Squeaky did not mind speaking her mind. She was always, transparent about her feelings. If she felt or thought about it, you would know it.
Squeaky was also "The Life of the Party!" She would dance and party until the lights came on. She was very fun loving, and everyone loved to be in her presence. The laughter she brought to others was unmatched. Her humor will never be forgotten. Simply stated, her sense of humor could not be measured.
Some of Squeaky's greatest life moments included the birth of her grandchildren. It was always family first. She cherished her family. As the saying goes, she "DID NOT PLAY" when it came to her family. In fact, one of her greatest joys was watching LAW and Order faithfully on Saturdays. It was very well known, DO NOT interrupt UNLESS it pertained to family matters. She absolutely adored her nieces, nephews, brothers, and sisters as well.
Rosa also spent her working days employed by the Cerebral Palsy School of Clifton, NJ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Elena McClam; her sisters, Evangelist Dorothy Clark and Pastor Laura Jackson; three brothers, Wilbur Jr. Tony, and Pastor Michael McClam.
Rosa leaves loving memories to her loving husband, Henry Reams of 45 years; her daughter, Quashetta Sifunjo (Jermain) and son, Dontel Reams both of Paterson, NJ; her grandchildren, Javon Reams, Ashleigh Reaves, Tamara, Delshawn, Dontel, Donta Sha, Miracle Reams, and Gianna Tobin; four brothers-in-law, seven sisters- in-law; god daughter, Tanita Reams; four very special friends, Trina, Cindy, Connie, and Ms. Paula. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews uncles, aunts, cousins and other families and friends.
