Joyce Elaine (Rosenquist) Reams, 82, died on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at Montezuma Specialty Care.
Joyce was born in Manson, Iowa on March 21, 1943, to Alton and Gladys Rosenquist. She attended school in Manson before Moving to Grinnell where she graduated from Grinnell High School. Joyce later went on to work for the Grinnell School District as a cook and custodian.
On June 30, 1962, Joyce was united in marriage to Stephen "Jess" Reams. They made their home in Grinnell, where they raised three daughters: Lori, Jennifer, and Jill. After retirement Joyce and Jess moved to Lake Ponderosa where many wonderful memories were made with family and friends. Her hobbies included quilting, reading, and decorating her beautiful house. Her handcrafted quilts will be cherished by all who received them. Above all she loved her family, including many pets!
Joyce is survived by her husband of nearly 63 years, Stephen Reams of Lake Ponderosa; her daughters; her sister, Judy Hoefing of Gulf Shores, Alabama; her grandchildren, Kaylee Greiner, Andrew and Jesse Parrish, Trenton O'Halloran, and Stone Widder; and her great-grandchildren, Grey and Briggs Greiner. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister Sally Bennett.
As per Joyce's request no funeral or memorial service will be held. She will live on in our hearts forever!
