Rosalio "Chalio" Flores, de 65 años, falleció rodeado de su familia el domingo 4 de mayo de 2025 en su hogar en Hutchinson. Nació el 4 de septiembre de 1959 en Labor de Guadalupe, Rodeo, Durango, México, hijo de Leandro y Concepción (Rubio) Flores.
Chalio estudió en México y, poco después, se unió al ejército mexicano, sirviendo con orgullo a su país durante cuatro años. Tras emigrar a Estados Unidos, trabajó como ajustador de maquinaria para Tyson Foods, Hutchinson, y también fue miembro de la Iglesia Católica de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, en South Hutchinson.
Chalio mantuvo un estilo de vida activo con ejercicios y actividades recreativas que amaba, como caminatas diarias, visitar las montañas de Colorado, disparar armas de fuego y pescar. Era un gran trabajador en su trabajo e incluso en casa; creía firmemente que con el trabajo duro se pueden lograr grandes cosas. Sin embargo, los mejores momentos para él, eran los que pasaba con su familia.
El 22 de noviembre de 1994 se casó con Guadalupe "Lupe" García, en Alamosa, Colorado. Compartieron más de 30 años de matrimonio. Ella sobrevive.
Otros sobrevivientes incluyen: sus hijos, Raymundo Flores, Rosalio (Vanessa) Flores y Luis Flores; nietos, Reyna, Octavion, Nicolás y Lilliana Flores; hermanos, Dionicio (Hermila) Flores, Juana Sarmiento, María Sarmiento, Concepción (Rufina) Flores, Lázaro Flores, Leandro (Sulma) Flores Jr., Martha Flores, Pedro Flores, José (Ana) Flores, Jorge Flores, Prudencia (Pilar) Nuñez; y numerosos familiares.
Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres y su hija, Raquel Flores.
El rosario parroquial se rezará a las 10:00 a.m., seguido por la misa de entierro cristiano a las 10:30 a.m., el viernes 9 de mayo de 2025, ambos en la Iglesia Católica de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, ubicada en 612 S. Maple, South Hutchinson, que hara el Padre Eric Weldon. El entierro será a las 10:00 a.m. el sábado 10 de mayo de 2025 en Buhler Municipal East, ubicado en 14842 E. 82nd Ave, Buhler. Amigos podrán firmar su libro de 9 a.m. a 5 p.m., en Elliott Mortuary.
En lugar de flores, se sugieren donaciones a Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe, al Cancer Council of Reno County, o al Gentiva Hospice, a cargo de servicios funebres, Elliott Mortuary, ubicada en 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
Rosalio "Chalio" Flores, 65, died surrounded by his family, Sunday, May 4, 2025, at his home in Hutchinson. He was born September 4, 1959, in Labor de Guadalupe, Rodeo, Durango, Mexico, to Leandro and Concepcion (Rubio) Flores.
Chalio attended school in Mexico, and shortly after, joined the Mexican military, proudly serving his country for 4 years. After immigrating to the United States, he worked as a machine setter for Tyson Foods, Hutchinson, and was also a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, South Hutchinson.
Chalio maintained an active lifestyle through workouts and recreational activities he loved, such as daily walks, visiting the Colorado mountains, shooting guns, and fishing. He was a hard worker at his job and even at home, he was a firm believer that through hard work, one can achieve great things. However, the best times for him were the times he spent with his family.
On November 22, 1994, he married Guadalupe "Lupe" Garcia, in Alamosa, Colorado. They shared over 30 years of marriage. She survives.
Other survivors include: his sons, Raymundo Flores, Rosalio (Vanessa) Flores, and Luis Flores; grandchildren, Reyna, Octavion, Nicolas, and Lilliana Flores; siblings, Dionicio (Hermila) Flores, Juana Sarmiento, Maria Sarmiento, Concepcion (Rufina) Flores, Lazaro Flores, Leandro (Sulma) Flores Jr., Martha Flores, Pedro Flores, Jose (Ana) Flores, Jorge Flores, Prudencia (Pilar) Nuñez; and numerous family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Raquel Flores.
Parish rosary will be 10 a.m., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 9, 2025, both at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 612 S. Maple, South Hutchinson, with Father Eric Weldon officiating. Inurnment will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Buhler Municipal East, 14842 E. 82nd Ave, Buhler. Friends may sign his memorial book from 9 a.m. to 5p.m. at Elliott Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Our Lady of Guadalupe, Cancer Council of Reno County, or Gentiva Hospice, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
