Rosalyn Davidson Scheid, age 78, of Asheboro passed away on January 10, 2026 at the Randolph Hospice House.
Mrs. Scheid was born in Asheboro on April 24, 1947 to Wilson “Monk” and Lucille Brown Davidson and was a graduate of Asheboro High School. Rosalyn retired from Energizer Battery after 37 years of service. Rosalyn was a God-fearing woman who loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Balfour Baptist Church. Rosalyn was a kind, loving, hard-working lady who loved helping others. She was a good mother and a good wife to her husband of 47 years, Dick, who preceded her in death. She enjoyed working outside whenever she was able and reading. Rosalyn loved her canine companion, Molly, who was a wonderful blessing to her. In addition to her parents, Rosalyn was preceded in death by her brother, Jerome Davidson.
She is survived by her son, Bryan Hodge of Asheboro; daughter, Stephanie Lewis of Asheboro; grandsons, Devan Hodge of Asheboro and Dakota Hodge of Seattle, WA; siblings, Duane Davidson of Asheboro, Janice Moon of Beaufort, and Eric Davidson (Debbie) of Sanford; several nieces and nephews.
No funeral services are planned.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 16, 2026 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue of Asheboro.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Randolph, 416 Vision Drive, Asheboro, NC 27203.
