Rosanell Lappe

We are so sad to announce the passing of Rose (Rowland) Lappe on August 15, 2025. She was the childhood sweetheart of her beloved Husband, Jim Lappe. She is also survived by their Daughter Jill Lappe-Goss and 3 Grandchildren: Devon Goss, and those of her late Son Jason: James A. Lappe and Madison Gordy. Rose grew up on the lovely Thornapple River in Caledonia, Michigan, just outside of Grand Rapids. She met Jim when she was 15 and he was 17 and they started talking about marriage on the 5th date. She graduated with a BA in Education from Michigan State University. She taught Middle-School in Michigan, Ohio, and Minnesota as Jim's career put them on the move. As the children reached high school and college, she turned her sights on a Real Estate career and became one of the most successful Realtors in the Atlanta area. She is also survived by her Sister Carole Link, Sisters-in-law Carole McCabe and June Rowland as well as many loving in-laws, nieces, and nephews, friends and neighbors who brought her great comfort in her final days. She was a member of Roswell United Methodist Church where a Celebration of Life will be held on the 26th of August 2025 at 11:00 am in the Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Murphy-Harpst Children's Center (murphyharpst.org)
