Rose Catron passed away peacefully on September 1, 2025, at the age of 88 in Spencer, Indiana. Born on April 3, 1937, in Grundy, Virginia, Rose's life was of a friendly and thoughtful nature, which touched the hearts of all who knew her.
Rose was the cherished matriarch of her family, leaving behind a legacy of love and care. She is survived by her devoted daughter-in-law, Jenifer Catron; her loving sister, Esther Morefield; her beloved granddaughter, Wendy Newman; her beloved grandson, Nicholas Catron; and her treasured great-grandchildren, Logan Newman, Josiah Catron, and Adriana Catron. Rose's spirit will forever be a guiding light in their lives. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Lottie (Deel) Cabbell; her beloved husband, William Catron on June 28, 2004, and her dear sons, Billy Catron and Ricky Catron.
For many years, Rose was the proud owner of Rosie's Dry Cleaning in Martinsville, where she served her community with dedication and a warm smile. Her work was not just a profession but a way to connect with people, offering a helping hand and a listening ear to those around her. Rose's love extended beyond her family and business to the animals and pets she cared for with unwavering commitment. Her home was a sanctuary, not only for her family but also for the creatures she nurtured with such compassion. Rose's caring nature was in every aspect of her life, from the way she maintained her home to the support she provided to others.
