Rose F. Cone
Linwood, Michigan
Rose Francis Cone, aged 80, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2024, in Kawkawlin, Michigan, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on August 21, 1944, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Rose was a beacon of joy and friendship to all who knew her. Her laughter was contagious, her spirit indomitable, and her capacity for friendship knew no bounds.
Rose's formative years in Philadelphia instilled in her a strong sense of community and kinship, which she carried throughout her life. After marrying the love of her life, John A. Cone, she moved to Kawkawlin, where they built a life filled with love, laughter, and lasting memories. Together, they raised a family that would be her greatest pride and joy.
A devoted mother, Rose is survived by her children: Bret Cone, Scott Cone, Keith Cone, and Rose M. Potter. She was a cherished grandmother to Alex Cone, Haley Han, Mike Cone, Heather Cone, Celine Potter, Ryan Potter, Sarah A. Cone, John M. Cone, and Elizabeth R. Cone. Each grandchild held a special place in her heart, and she reveled in their accomplishments and adventures. Rose was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John A. Cone, and her brother, Robert Sheahan, both of whom she missed dearly.
Those who knew Rose will remember her as the life of the party. Her humor was a gift that she shared freely, brightening the days of friends and family alike. Rose's friendly demeanor made her a cherished neighbor and a treasured friend. Her spirited nature inspired those around her to live each day to the fullest.
Throughout her life, Rose was an active member of her community, participating in local events and volunteering whenever she was needed. Her presence was a comfort to many, and her absence will be felt deeply by those who were fortunate enough to cross paths with her.
As we celebrate Rose's life, we hold onto the countless memories she has given us. Her stories, often told with a twinkle in her eye and a mischievous smile, will be passed down through generations. Rose's legacy of kindness, humor, and friendship will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew her.
A private ceremony will be held to honor Rose's life, allowing her family to reflect on the extraordinary woman she was. As we say goodbye to Rose Francis Cone, we take solace in knowing that her spirit will forever be a guiding light in the lives of those she touched. May she rest in peace, knowing that her memory will always be cherished and that her love will continue to bind us together.
