Rose Deshotels Obituary
VILLE PLATTE - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Rose Deshotels at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Pine Prairie, LA. Burial will take place in St. Peter's Cemetery.
Rose Deshotels, 65, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, in Pine Prairie, LA. She was born on May 30, 1958 in Ville Platte, LA to Elis Ortego and Emma Catoire Ortego. She was a homemaker who enjoyed going to the camp, shopping, and browsing estate sales. Most importantly, she loved spending time with her family and friends.
Rose is survived by her husband, Roderick Deshotels; sons: Joey Deshotels and wife, Bridget, Brian Deshotels, and Chris Deshotels and wife, Abby; grandchildren: Oaklynn Deshotels, Blakelinn Deshotels; nephew, Tony Manuel; and niece, Debbie Rodriguez.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elis Ortego and Emma Lou Catoire Ortego; brother, John Fontenot; and sister, Hazel Manuel.
Visitation will be held at St. Peter's Catholic Church on Friday, April 26, 2024, from 9:30 AM until 8:00 PM with a Rosary being prayed at 6:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Saturday, April 27, 2024 from 8:00 AM until time of service.
