Rose DiGello

Rose Roach DiGello, age 78, of Erie, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2023, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Erie, on March 18, 1945, a daughter of the late Charles W. and Dorothy M. Smith Roach.
Rose graduated from McDowell High School. She worked as a salesclerk for the Colonial Bakery, a cook for the Erie School District, and most recently as a cook for Metz Culinary Management at Gannon University. Rose was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and the Ladies of St. Patrick. She was a member of the Pinochle Club at St. Luke, the Siebenbuerger Auxiliary, the Erie Senior Center, and Pennbriar swimming. Rose enjoyed traveling and playing cards.
Survivors include her husband, David A. DiGello; her daughter, Marceline Valletta (Frank), of Albion; her three sons, David C. DiGello (Tina), of Erie, Robert DiGello (Stacy), of Fairview, and Scott DiGello, of Vancouver; nine grandchildren; her brother, Charles Roach (Linda), of Harborcreek; and her two sisters, Beverly Paris (Thomas), of Girard, and Verna Trudeau (Richard), of Erie.
Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home, Inc. on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and are invited to a prayer service there the following morning at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Erie County Memorial Gardens.
