Rose Marie Masden

Rose Marie Masden, age 83 of Louisville, returned to her Heavenly Father on Monday, March 3, 2025. She was born on Saturday, June 7, 1941, in Shepherdsville, KY to the late William Howard Masden and Cora Taylor Masden. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her siblings Anna Slaughter, Helen, Jimmy Dale, and Lydia. Rose was baptized and a member of Mt. Zion Baptist church. She was a hard worker and always provided for her boys. She liked to keep a clean home, cook and take care of others. She loved to read magazines and going to Active Adult Care. She is survived by her two sons, Tony Masden (Vickey) and Roger Masden (Velma); grandchildren, Kenyatta Masden, Keijuana Masden, Wendell Jackson, Dainisha Masden and Amare Masden; 11 great-grandchildren; siblings, Frances Masden and William Howard Masden Jr.; cousin, Norma Walker along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be at 12:30 pm on Saturday, March 8, 2025, in the chapel of Hardy-Close Funeral Home, 285 S. Buckman Street in Shepherdsville, burial will follow at Cedar Grove cemetery.
