Rose Rucks Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Burns Funeral Home of Perry on Jan. 19, 2026.
Rose Ann Rucks, 73, of Perry, Florida, passed away peacefully on January 19, 2026. Born on May 29, 1952, in DuQuoin, Illinois, Rose was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.
A dedicated homemaker, Rose took immense pride in creating a warm, nurturing environment for her family and friends. Although she did not have children of her own, she embraced her role as an aunt with love, caring deeply for her nieces and nephews as if they were her own.
Rose had a zest for life that was infectious. She was an avid Bingo player and enjoyed the thrill of the game, often excitedly sharing her wins and experiences with family. Her love for animals was evident, with her cherished dog, "Si," always by her side, bringing her endless joy and companionship.
Cruising the open seas was another passion of Rose's, where she made beautiful memories with family and friends. Whether on deck watching sunsets or sharing laughter with loved ones, these moments were dear to her heart.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Mary Wallace, her brother Richie Rucks.
She is survived by her siblings Tom Rucks Sr, (Connie), Tim Rucks (Janet), Charlie Rucks, Lisa Hurt (Jim), and Robert Rucks (Kim), as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service is planned for a later date.
Rose Ann Rucks will be deeply missed but will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.
