Rosemary P. Short, 86, of Port Clinton, OH passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky, OH. She was born June 25, 1939 in Lake Orion, MI the daughter of William James and Ellen (Phillips) Palmer. She married Lester J. Short on October 25, 1958 and he preceded her in death on December 22, 2024. Rosemary worked for Kroger in Michigan, Sandusky and Port Clinton. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Port Clinton; Eagles Lodge Aerie No. 2295 Port Clinton where she was a Golden Eagle; American Legion Auxiliary, Port Clinton and the former Moose Lodge 1610. She was a volunteer at The Red Cross and was inducted into the Red Cross Hall of Fame in 1996.
Surviving are her son: James (Christina) Short of Norwalk; granddaughters: Jessica Michelle (Brian Hahn) Short, Jennifer Michelle Short; great-granddaughter: Gabriella. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Lester and son: Lester C. Short.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Monday, August 18, 2025 at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton St. Port Clinton, OH 43452 with visitation at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton, OH. Pastor Jarrod Schaaf will be officiating. Memorial contributions may be given to Ottawa County Unit of The American Red Cross, 109 E. Perry Suite A Port Clinton, OH 43452. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.neideckercrosserpriesman.com.
