Obituary of Rosemary Wilde Wolocen
Rosemary Wilde Wolocen, 73, of Amsterdam passed away on October 19, 2022. Born in Amsterdam on December 25, 1948, she was the daughter of the late William A. and Rose (Fobian) Wilde.
Survived by her husband Thomas Wolocen of Amsterdam, her brother William Wilde III and his wife Quirina from Lake Mary, FL her sister, Ruth Anderson of Scarborough, ME, nieces and nephews Elizabeth, Hayden, Phillip, Erika and Michael, and several great nieces, nephews and cousins.
Rosemary was a graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch Class of 1967. She worked at St. Mary's and Memorial Hospitals as a medical secretary and administrator.
Rosie was a strong and brave woman who made the most of her life despite her disabilities and was a role model for others. She loved spending time with her family playing games, doing puzzles and watching game shows. She especially loved celebrating holidays. Her dreams came true when she married Tom at age 50. They spent 20 wonderful years together.
Funeral services will take place on Friday November 11, 2022, at 11:30 am at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY 12010 with the Rev. Dr. John A. Califano officiating. Burial will follow in the family plot of the Fairview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Rosemary can be made to the Fairview Cemetery Association, 272 Steadwell Avenue, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
