Rosita "Rosie/Rose" Trayler, 72, of Weatherford gained her wings Sunday, February 20, 2022. She was born September 5th, 1949, in El Paso at Ft. Bliss to Karola and Angel San Pedro.
She began her life of adventure early, as the first born into a proud military family traveling nationally and internationally and making cherished memories with family and friends in Germany. After high school graduation in New York, she moved back to El Paso to pursue her cosmetology career where she met the love of her life. Rosita and Phillip were married in 1972, they moved to Weatherford to begin their next chapter where she began working as a beautician. As their family grew, raising their daughters was her top precedence. She was deeply rooted in the community and actively involved in PTA/volunteering, which blossomed into a career as a substitute teacher and then teaching assistant for special needs students in the WISD. After an extensive career in education a new chapter was developing; the business of being "Grandma". So much of her vibrant life was spent making cherished memories with all her grand babies in every moment possible; they were the music in her soul. But as every story has an ending, her last chapter was the most inspirational of all. Resilient, courageous, and as always strong in her faith, she triumphantly won her battle with ALS.
Rosie is survived by her husband of 50 years, Philip Edward Trayler; daughters, Christina Vaughn and husband Billy, Erica Trayler and wife April, Sarah Eames, and husband Jude; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Noah, Angel, Ryan, Ethan, Kayleigh and Aviendha; great-granddaughter, Stella; brother, Thomas San Pedro and her precious fur babies.
