SCHAEFFER, Rowdy David – of St Peterburg, Florida, age 33, died December 26, 2025. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, January 9, 2026, at SS. Charles and Helena Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Kenneth Coughlin officiating. The family will receive visitors at the church on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass at 11:00 AM. Burial will be held on Friday at 2:00 PM at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for future designation.
Rowdy was born on October 29, 1992, to Paul and Cynthia (Harper) Schaeffer. He grew up in Davison, Michigan and graduated from Powers Catholic High School with the class of 2010. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 2011 to 2020. He worked for the U.S. Government in Cyber Security. Rowdy was a member of St. Pius Catholic Church and Holy Rosary Catholic Church. In high school he competed in Gymnastics and played baseball. Rowdy enjoyed hunting and was an avid gun collector. However, his two girls were the light of his life.
Surviving are: Wife, Lily Schaeffer; Daughters: Harley Schaeffer and Blayke Schaeffer; Mother, Cynthia Schaeffer; Siblings: Chase Schaeffer, and Stormy (Justin) Earnhart; Grandparents: Anthony (Kathy) Harper, and Paul (Agnes) Schaeffer; Former Spouse, Samantha Verdugo. He was preceded in death by his Father, Paul Schaeffer; Sister, Dakota Schaeffer; Grandmother, Sandi Schaeffer.
