Rose Ann Tauriello, affectionately known as Roxanne, was welcomed into heaven on April 21, 2025. Born on February 2, 1941, in Garfield, New Jersey, Roxanne's journey through life was marked by her unwavering spirit and an enduring passion for serving others. She passed away peacefully in Marlboro, New Jersey, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and inspiration.
Roxanne was the beloved wife of the late Sabatino Tauriello, with whom she shared 47 years of devoted marriage. She was the cherished daughter of the late Michael and Gertrude Acerno. Her life was a testament to the power of family, as she was a loving mother to her daughters, Roxanne Band and her husband Jeffrey, and Rose DiCono and her husband James. She was a proud sister to Ralph Acerno and his wife Terri. Her joy was multiplied as a grandmother to Katie Bizub and her husband Nick, and Mallory and her fiancé Matthew Fontaine. Roxanne was also blessed to be a great-grandmother to Eleanor, who brought immense happiness to her later years.
Roxanne's professional and volunteer work were extensions of her loving heart and faith-filled life. She was a pillar of the Sayre Woods Bible Church community, where she loved to serve and was instrumental in creating the first drive-thru Christmas Story in New Jersey. Her entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to her faith led her to found RoxAnne Tauriello Ministries. Through this ministry, she touched countless lives, particularly through her involvement in jail and prison ministries. Roxanne's voice reached many as the host of the Christian-based program, "The RoxAnne Tauriello Show."
Her creative talents were not confined to her ministry work. Roxanne was also an accomplished author, sharing her insights and experiences through the written word. Her early years in the spotlight included an opening act for Dion and the Belmonts, and a memorable guest appearance on the classic television show "Car 54, Where Are You?" Her excellence in broadcasting was recognized with a CAPE Award for a notable interview she conducted, further highlighting her passion for communication and storytelling.
Above all, Roxanne was a homemaker who took immense pride in caring for her family. Her home was a sanctuary of warmth and love, where all were welcome. The words that best describe Roxanne are loving, faith-filled, and passionate. She lived her life with a heart full of love for her family, friends, and community, and her faith was the cornerstone of her existence. Roxanne's passion for life was evident in everything she did, from her ministry work to the joy she found in her family's milestones.
Roxanne's departure from this world leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew her, but her spirit will continue to guide and inspire. Her life was a beautiful tapestry woven with threads of kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith. Roxanne's legacy will live on through the lives she touched, the community she served, and the family she adored.
As we bid farewell to Rose Ann Tauriello, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a soul that will forever be cherished. Roxanne's journey on Earth has ended, but her story of love and faith will continue to be told for generations to come.
