Roy Head Obituary

Roy was a graduate of Macomber High School in Toledo, and he proudly served his country during the Vietnam War as part of the United States Army. Roy was the former owner and operator of Ameritec Plumbing and Heating in Toledo. He later joined the Local 50 Plumbers and Pipefitters in Toledo. While living in Mississippi, Roy also served as a Sheriff deputy. He was a jack-of-all trades, also working as a minister, pilot, and locksmith. Roy was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, and spending time with his wife on their boat.
Survivors include one son, Roy (Sarah) Head III of Pittsford; four grandkids, Amanda Geno, Cody (Tori) Head, Hannah (Juan Rodela) Head, and Teal Head; seven great-grandchildren, Chloe, Brody, Jace, Cyrus, Zamora, Xzna, and Savannah; and three siblings, Joyce (Sam) Keith, John (Debbie) Head, and David Head.
In addition to his wife, Roy was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Carol Morgan, and one brother, Bobby Head.
Roy will be laid to rest privately at Prattville Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale.
Memorial contributions are suggested to a cancer charity of the donor's choice.
