Ruby was born on June 13, 1946, in Hampshire Co., WV, the daughter of the late Thomas & Mary Martin Haines. Ruby enjoyed listening to Fisher radio and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Ruby married Charles R. Landis on April 10, 1964, in Augusta, WV. Charles died on April 30, 2020.
Surviving is a son: David Landis of Augusta, WV; five daughters: Cathy Sirk (Adam) and Debbie Haines (Tommy) all of Augusta, WV; Christina Sirk (Tommy) of Glenrock, WY; Cindy Davis (Raymond) Ruby Parker (David) both of Slanesville, WV; 10 grandchildren & 14 great-grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She is preceded in death by a daughter: Mary Meade.
A funeral will be held at Giffin Funeral Home & Crematory on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be Pastor Elsie Ward. Interment will follow in the Haines Family Cemetery near Shanks, WV. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, October 6, 2025, from 5-7 PM.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Ruby to Hospice of the Panhandle, 330 Hospice Ln, Kearneysville, WV 25430.
