Ruby S. Mihailov

Ruby S. Mihailov, 97, of Meadville, was called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 7, 2023, at Wesbury United Methodist Community.
She was born May 5, 1926, in Meadville, a daughter of Eli and Maria Cvijeticaniu Mihailov.
Ruby was a 1951 graduate of the Practical Bible Training School, Binghamton, NY (now known as Davis College). Upon graduation, she taught the Bible during release time classes in several schools in Crawford County for two years after which was employed by Child Evangelism Fellowship for nineteen years in Mansfield, OH and Grand Rapids, MI. She taught Sunday School for twenty-five years and was a camp counselor at various camps. She also worked at Central Union Mission in Washington, D.C., was a self-employed seamstress, and worked at American Viscose, Westinghouse, Loblaws, J.C. Penney Company, and Fisher Big Wheel.
Ruby attended Calvary Baptist Church and enjoyed sewing, music, and reading.
Survivors include a sister, Desta Stevens and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; eight sisters; and seven brothers.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, September 11th from 1-2 p.m. at the ROBERT W. WAID FUNERAL HOME, 581 CHESTNUT ST., MEADVILLE where the funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Todd Wentworth officiating.
Interment will be in Radle Cemetery.
