Rui Ling Lam, known in the community as Linda, passed away on October 17, 2025, at the age of 65 at Baptist Health Hospital with her family by her side. She was born on March 24, 1960 in Guangzhou, China to the late Quanli Wu and Jinlan Chen. She immigrated to the United States in 1986 with courage and hope to live the American Dream. Linda lived a life filled with warmth, laughter, and love. Linda loved spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandkids. Her bubbly personality and joyful spirit brought light into every room. Whether she was serving meals to her community, shopping the best deals at Macy's, or gardening, Linda found beauty in everyday moments and joy in the company of those she loved most. She had a generous heart, a comforting smile, and a way of making everyone feel welcome. Her presence was a gift to all who knew her.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Kin Lam, and her beloved children: Henry Lam (Lou) of Frankfort, Kentucky and Jamie Lam Marshall (Trevor) of Versailles, Kentucky. She is also survived by her cherished siblings: Rui Wu (Zhi Zhao), Rui Mei Wu (Jing Hua Chen), Si Hong Wu (Jing Hong Chen), and Qing Wei Wu. Her greatest joys were her grandchildren, whom she adored: Theodore Marshall and Kingston Marshall. She is also survived by many special in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends and family are encouraged to leave messages of condolences and memories on her tribute wall at www.Blackburnandward.com.
