Russell “Russ” T. Burrows, 54, of Benton, departed this life peacefully on February 10, 2024.
He was born on December 1, 1969, in Cleveland, TN.
Throughout his life, Russ was an avid hunter and fisherman, loved sports especially watching his son, Luke play ball.
He was a 1988 graduate of Polk County High School and earned his Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. A sheriff deputy with the Polk County Sheriff Office and later was employed at Olin Chemical.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Judy Beard Burrows.
Left to cherish the many memories include his loving wife of 23 years, Farrah Melton Burrows; beloved son, Luke Burrows; father, Gary Burrows; brothers, Chad (Vikki) Burrows, and Brian (Angel) Burrows; nephews, Jake (Ashton) Burrows, and Behr Burrows; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Patty and Jackie Melton. A host of friends also survive.
A Remembrance of Life service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 15, 2024, in the chapel of Higgins Funeral Home, with Jeff Lanning and David Firestone presiding.
Family and friends will gather from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
