RATTERMAN, Russell J., passed away at home surrounded by the love of his family on February 2, 2025 at the age of 70. He was born in Cincinnati, OH, the son of the late Robert and Catherine (nee Sullivan).
Russ was a beloved member of the Oak Hills, West Side Community. He ran Western Hills Builders Supply for nearly 30 years, served on the board at Cincinnatus Savings & Loan, and served on the Oak Hills School Board. He was a collegiate swimmer and longtime supporter of the University of Cincinnati, a decorated golfer, and a caring person who spread warmth and happiness wherever he went. He loved his family most of all, his spirit will live on in all of them.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Linda (nee Shoemaker) married for nearly 39 years. Loving father of Emily (Andrew) Stallo and Julie (Sam) Myers. Devoted grandfather of Tyler, Otto, Philip, Cedric, Nolan, and Penelope. He is also survived by his sister Marti (Larry) Schindel and Lynn Fread along with many family and friends.
Visitation at Shiloh United Methodist Church, 5261 Foley Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45238, FRIDAY, February 7, 2025 from 9:00 AM until time of service at 12:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Cincinnati at P.O. Box 633597, Cincinnati, OH 45263-3597, Oak Hills School District Attn: Feed-A-Highlander at 6325 Rapid Run Rd..
