I had only known Russell for a little over a year. He lived at Savannah Court with my Father.
I was immediately drawn to him when I found out he used to square dance.
My Father was a square dance caller. I´m sure their two paths crossed at one time as my Dad called Dances in Arcadia, FL.
I can´t say enough about what a wonderful, kind, gentle and thoughtful man he was. I loved talking to him about his life and work in the citrus industry.
Russell was always a pleasure to be around. People were drawn to him.
His love of life and his deep faith were always evident.
I will miss him terribly as will the other residents at Savannah Court.
I thank God for bringing him into my life, if only for a short while. He was a treasure.
Prayers for comfort are being sent to his family and beloved friends.
