Born July 30, 1957 in Jefferson City, MO to Floyd Glenn and Mildred Ann (Maasen) Kemple. He was a 1975 graduate of Helias High School.

Russ will be remembered most for his appreciation of life's simple joys. Whether fishing, camping, or cherishing time with family and friends, he knew how to make each moment count. Russ was a friend to hundreds, a mentor to many, and someone who consistently saw the good in others. He was the epitome of putting your all into whatever he did. Always known to be a gentle soul, kind-hearted, and sincere in every aspect of his life, Russ will be missed deeply by all who knew him.

He is survived by his children: James R. "Jimme" Kemple of Columbia, MO., Ashley D. Kemple of Columbia, MO, Emily J. Kemple-Bennett of Columbia, SC., Russell W. Kemple Jr., and wife Jessie of Eugene, MO., Rebecca L. Kemple of Columbia, SC.; six grandchildren; brother: Alan J. Kemple and wife Eileen of Jefferson City; sister: Glenda Sundermeyer of Holts Summit.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Floyd Glenn and Mildred Ann (Maasen) Kemple; and one brother: Randall L. Kemple.

In honor of Russ' love for the outdoors and fishing, a Celebration of Life is set for October 19 from 2-5pm at Binder Lake (Binder Park Lake Deck, 1200 Binder Lake Road, Jefferson City, MO 65109).

In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the family to assist with final expenses.
