Russell Edward White age 64 of Orrtanna PA, died unexpectedly on Saturday, October 18, 2025. Born December 29, 1960, he was the son of the late Edward D. and Suzanne White.
Russell served in the U.S. Navy earning an honorable discharge. He was a long-time farm hand; he loved horses and The Baltimore Ravens. When he wasn’t working on the farm or selling crabs out of a crab truck he could be found bowling with his friends and extended family at the Edgewood Bowl, Gettysburg, PA.
He is survived by his children, Sondra White of CT, Ashley White of Montanna, Tommy Downs of NM, Melissa Downs of Thurmont MD, Aria and Dominic White of Greencastle, PA; siblings, Sharon Hill and Kathleen White both of Orrtanna PA; niece, Amanda Miller of Emmitsburg; nephews, Jason Miller of Emmitsburg and Brad Hill of Orrtanna PA; and longtime family friend Amy Miller.
He was predeceased by sister, Julia Miller.
A Celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at 12:30 PM at Edgewood Bowl, 1880 Emmitsburg Rd., Gettysburg, PA.
