On Friday December 30, 2022, Ruth M. Bachle, age 98 of Ben Avon, was called to her heavenly home, born and raised in City View of Pittsburgh formerly of the Marshall/Shadeland neighborhood on the North Side, she spent the last 29 years as a resident of Ben Avon. She was preceded in death by her beloved family members, daughter of the late Frank Bachle and the late Christina (Fath) Bachle, sister of the late Helen M. Gibson (the late Clyde F. Sr.) and the late Frank C. Bachle (the late Alberta L.), aunt of the late Clyde F. Gibson Jr. and the late Elizabeth Ann Bachle, great aunt of the late Clyde F. Gibson III
Cherished aunt of Mary Frances Tanney (Douglas), Anna Marie Hinnebusch (Ronald) and Helen Wilder Gibson. Cherished great aunt of Amy Wilder Gibson Herndon (Derek), Zachary Douglas Tanney and Brittney Gibson. Ruth's family continues on with a new generation of great great nieces and nephews, Clyde F. IV, Lottie and Kit Gibson, Reagan and Grant Herndon.
Ruth graduated from Allegheny High School in 1943, her first job after graduation was with The H. J. Heinz Company, then she went on to work for Bell Telephone in the accounting department for 40 years, retiring at age 59. Over the years, she enjoyed cooking, knitting, playing the organ and traveling but most of all she loved working in her flower gardens. Ruth was a caring compassionate person, she so graciously gave years of her time and energy to be a caregiver for her family members. Ruth was a gift to her family and will be dearly missed. She was a person who truly epitomized "The Greatest Generation"
