Ruth Carlson Obituary
She will be remembered for her compassion for the poor around the world. She enjoyed nature, reading, and family. She never stopped learning. She is survived by her children, Margaret ( Kenneth) Weismantel, Marybeth (Scott) Caldwell, Richard( Paula) Carlson, Paul (Jan) Carlson, and Catherine Carlson( Diane Smith). She was predeceased by her husband, Leroy Carlson and two children, Claire Carlson and John Carlson. She had 13 grandchildren: Christine(Brent) Midwood, Elizabeth(Kirk)Sciola, Julie(Jon)Weismoore, Kate(Matt)Oster, Alyssa Caldwell, Kyle Caldwell, Michelle(Josh)Plonk, Rebecca(Joel) Vigil and the Carlsons: Jeffrey(Amber), Daniel(Lisa), Brett(Karis), Jenna, and Candace. She has 23 great grandchildren: Anna and Ella Sciola, Christopher and Esai Weismoore, Eloise Oster, Aubrie Mirochna, the Plonks: Ian, Liam, Wesley, Wade, Asher, the Carlsons: Caroline, Lincoln, Roman, Palmer, Katelyn, Declan, Evangeline, Theodore, Josephine, Eleanore, Eliana and Isabel Vigil
Services will be held at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, Libertyville, Illinois on Saturday, June 14. Visitation will be at 10:00, followed by the funeral. Her internment will be at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville next to her husband, Leroy.
Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Journey Care Hospice at 405 North Lake Zurich Road, Barrington, Illinois 60010.

Mrs. Carlson was my third grade teacher at Lakeview School, and then years later I had the pleasure of teaching second grade with her at Beulah Park. Such a lovely lady and wonderful teacher!
My sincere condolences to Ruth´s family. May she rest in peace.
