Ruth V. "Champlin" Davey

Beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister;

Ruth V. (Champlin) Davey, 85, of Dracut, Massachusetts, passed away on Thursday January 15, 2026, at Lowell General Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

She was the beloved wife for over 61 years of the late Thomas E. "Tom" Davey, who died on April 29, 2025.

Born in Lowell, Massachusetts, August 1, 1940, the daughter of the late Bertram and the late Doris (Fairbrother) Champlin, she attended Lowell schools and was a graduate of Lowell High School.

Ruth was born and raised in Lowell, Massachusetts, where she spent most of her life. Her marriage to Tom was the center of her world. Together they raised three sons and built a life rooted in loyalty, faith, and devotion to family.

Ruth was one of eight children and remained closely connected to her siblings throughout her life. Family was always her focus, and her Catholic faith helped shape her strong sense of responsibility and commitment to those she loved.

She is survived by her three sons, Mark Davey of Lowell, John Davey of Dracut, and Michael Davey and his wife Alexis of Windham, New Hampshire. She leaves behind ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren, Jakson and Emmalise, and is survived by her brother Robert Champlin and his wife Diane of Barrington, New Hampshire, and her sister Shirley McPhail of Lowell.

Ruth will be remembered for her fierce loyalty to her family, her strength, her directness, and her enduring partnership with her husband.

Relatives and friends may call on Friday, January 23, 2026, at the O'DONNELL FUNERAL HOME 276 PAWTUCKET ST. in LOWELL from 9:30 to 10:30 A.M. followed by her Funeral Mass to be celebrated at ST.
