Born on November 22, 1933, in Yonkers, NY, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Emily (Bertram) Emerson.
Ruth was employed by the Fulton County Department of Social Services for 30 years as an Administrative Assistant. Upon retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren & great grandchildren. She could often be found spending time at the Johnstown Senior Center.
She is survived by her sons, Jay Gregorio (Betty), Scott Gregorio (Kelly), and Robert Gregorio (Tammy); daughters, Cynthia Licciardi (Stephen), Pamela Subik (John); 9 grandchildren, Rafa Gregorio, Linda Wilderman, Stephen Licciardi, Andrew Licciardi, Jayme Rec, Emily Schell, Kayla Loomis, Amy Hunt & James Gregorio. In addition, she is survived by 17 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Ruth is predeceased by her brothers; Ralph, Robert, Walter, Herbert Emerson and sisters Emily Coogan & Gladys McEachern.
A visitation for family and friends will be held at a later date to be determined by the family.
Memorial contributions in Ruth's memory may be made to the Johnstown Senior Center, 109 E Main St, Johnstown, NY 12095.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Barter and Donnan Funeral Home., 1 N.. Melcher Street, Johnstown, NY.

I was so sorry to learn of Ruth's passing. My late husband, Russ Martin, was quite fond of Ruth during their time at Dept. Of Social Services. My deepest condolences to the family.
