Ruth Gearldine Haddock, 81, passed away on Sunday, June 29, 2025. Graveside service will be held Thursday, 2:30PM, in Haddock Family Cemetery. Visitation is 1-2PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home & Crematory, Vanceboro, NC.
A native of Onslow County, Ruth had made her home in the Vanceboro community where she spent most of her adult life. She married the love of her life, Garland Haddock, in January 1961, and they were married for 53 years. She was a homemaker and also worked on the family farm, as well as in the family business, Haddock Logging.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Garland; and a brother, Jack Taylor.
She is survived by her two sons, Steven C. Haddock and wife, Patricia, and Chris G. Haddock and wife, Natalie; grandchildren, Ashley N. Haddock (Lauren); Christy L. Jones (Andrew); and Drew Haddock (Emily); two great-grandchildren, Abby R. Haddock; and Grayson C. Jones; and special friend, Patsy Forrest of Vanceboro.
The family would like to extend a special thank you in appreciation for the healthcare workers for the care they provided for Ruth during this time.

We were so sorry to hear of Geraldine's passing. She was a classmate of mine and we had some great times at our class reunions. She was a very special lady and will be missed by many especially her classmates. Our thoughts and prayers are with each of the family. Rest in Pease dear friend!
