Ruth Virginia (Wachter) Johnson, age 100, of Plymouth passed away peacefully on Friday, September 26, 2025 with her family at her side.

She was born on March 6, 1925 in Sutton, Nebraska the daughter of Clarence and Josephine (Mysica) Wachter.

She enjoyed roller skating, reading, sewing, Sunday family dinners at the lake, Ruth also volunteered at Value Village.

Survived by her children: Linda Lyons (Pat), JoEllen (Kevin) Libby and Diane (Steve) Kolles; eight grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren; step sisters: Julie Engen, Peggy Johnson and Christy Johnson; other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by her husband of fifty-one years: Donald "Pete" Johnson, her parents Clarence and Josephine Wachter, brothers Richard and Raymond Wachter, a sister Helen, sisters-in-law Arlene and Verbe, a brother-in-law George Schoen, by a great grandchild Clark and by a son-in-law John Lyons.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Ruth Johnson will be held on Wednesday, October 8 th, 2025 at 11:00 A.m. at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church, 105 Forestview Lane N., in Plymouth, MN. Father Andrew Zipp will be the Celebrant.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th AT THE CHURCH one hour prior.

Private interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
