With deep love and sorrow, we announce the passing of Ruth Ann McPhee, who left us peacefully on June 28, 2025, at the age of 73, surrounded by her family.
Born on August 25, 1951, Ruth lived a life defined by compassion, strength, and selfless devotion to those she loved.
She was a loving mother to Alan T. McPhee and Kenneth Howerton, and a proud grandmother to three grandchildren and seven step-grandchildren, all of whom brought her endless joy and pride. In her final years, she was cared for with extraordinary love and dedication by her granddaughter Heaven McPhee and Heaven's partner, Josephine LoCicero, whose support brought her great comfort and peace.
Ruth was one of eight siblings and is survived by Curtis, Lou, Barbara, Dickie, Arthur Jr., and Betty Jo. She was preceded in death by her brother Marion and her sister Mary. Ruth was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alan L. McPhee. Together they shared a life rich in love, laughter, and devotion.
Ruth's legacy is one of love, resilience, and generosity. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
