They moved to New Boston, Ohio where she was raised and met Harry and they were married on November 8th, 1952. Ruth Ann retired from food services (GMS) with the Scott County Schools. In addition to her parents, her siblings and husband, she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Kay Washburn, and granddaughter, Jami Whitley Turner. What a joyous reunion it will be.
Ruth Ann is at home with Jesus, what a blessed joyous journey. Ruth Ann was a saved Baptist and a member of Jesus' kind of church. She loved going to church, cooking, cleaning, baking and shopping. But most of all, she loved telling people about Jesus, and he died on the cross for our sins. In the words of Ruth Ann, "Thank you Lord for saving my soul. I'm happy. It was a truly glorious day when Jesus took my sins away."
The family would especially like to thank Steve Payton and Joanie Payton for taking care of our mom during her last days on earth. Additionally, Ruth Ann had two caregivers, Pauline Carroll and Brenda Stroup, who cared so much for her. Ruth Ann was also thankful for her Hospice team for making her more comfortable as well.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Tucker, Yocum & Wilson Funeral Home. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 11:00 am.
