Ruth Ann was born to Naylor and Helen Gallaher on June 16, 1946 and grew up in River Oaks, TX, graduating from Castleberry High School in 1965. She eventually turned a part time job as 'cafeteria lady' with the Castleberry ISD into a career in school food service spanning over 35 years, managing school cafeterias for Castleberry and Birdville ISD before retiring after a Parkinsons Disease diagnosis. She was an avid collector of lighthouse memorabilia and traveled most of the US coast with her friends from the lake and sometimes even her beloved Collies.
She is preceded in death by her brother, William Earl Gallaher; and survived by a son, Russ Rogers; two nephews, Doug and Danny Gallaher and their families; as well as a cousin, Susan Vukovich of Stockton CA, Rick Rogers of Aransas Pass TX; her 'adoptive' granddaughter, Madison Nicole Kelly, Sam Atkinson; and many friends and relatives that made her life full.
